Job Summary

This position is responsible for administering the college's Community Education program.

Responsibilities
  • Manages the scheduling of campus facilities for both internal and external customers.

  • Coordinates the development, scheduling and implementation of Community Education courses.

  • Creates and implements a marketing and communication plan of courses, camps and programs.

  • Performs event planning functions for external group events.

  • Maintains the Community Education Online Instruction Center.

  • Updates the Community Education website and manages the digital signage located on College Drive.

  • Assists in planning and implementing campus conferences and other campus events.

  • Coordinates with external groups wishing to utilize the college's Challenge Course.

  • Performs graphic design duties in support of program marketing efforts.

  • Networks with community and professional leaders.

  • Serves as the lead and point-of-contact for Minors on Campus.

  • Trains college employees on Minors on Campus.

  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.

  • Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for two years.

  • Knowledge of community education principles and practices.

  • Knowledge of event planning principles.

  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and budget management principles.

  • Knowledge of marketing principles and practices.

  • Skill in collaborating with multiple constituents.

  • Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs.

  • Skill in decision making and problem solving.

  • Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.

  • Skill in oral and written communication.
