Lead the development, implementation, review and revision of Reservation Program policies, procedures, and internal controls to increase the efficiency of new transmission products and processes related to Transmission Reservations.Plan, develop, schedule, and conduct compliance-driven projects and analyses to evaluate and recommend ways to improve Transmission service activities.Investigate, assess, and resolve controversial issues and technical Reservation Program issues and problems.Work closely with customers and Marketing and Sales in the complex process to appropriately complete the competition process and authorization of service.Remove requests that have reached the expiration date per posted business practice and notify impacted parties.Develop, update, and maintain desk procedure materials to ensure all Reservationists can effectively perform Reservation Desk processes on a consistent and repeatable basis.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentYou must be a United States Citizen.This employer participates in the e-Verify program.Males must abide by Selective Service registration requirements.This position does not support remote work. A qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience 1) leading the development, implementation, review, and revision of policies, procedures, and internal controls to increase the efficiency of new transmission products and processes; 2) providing advice to customers and staff on all aspects of the reservations policies, processes, activities, and recommendations for associated business policies and practices; 3) assisting in providing training regarding advanced transmission products and services, including but not limited to, product types, scheduling priority, and queue management.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
