Leidos QTC Health Services is currently seeking a Medical Assistant to support our clinic Pensacola, FL.

 

What part would you play in this role?

As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for performing routine and basic front and back-office duties. These duties will include answering phones, data entry, assisting in the examination process of patients under the direction of a physician, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs and recording information on patients’ charts, drawing and collecting blood samples and/or urine samples from patients, preparing specimens for laboratory analysis, and conducting a variety of diagnostic tests.

 

In this rewarding role, you will:

  • Perform routine and basic front and back-office duties, to include phones, data entry.
  • Assist in the examination process of patients under the direction of a physician.
  • Interview patients
  • Measures vital signs. 
  • Record information on patients' charts
  • Draw and collect blood samples and/or urine samples from patients.
  • Prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
  • Conduct a variety of diagnostic tests.

 

Pay and Benefits:

Hourly Rates are based on experience and education. Plus potential quarterly bonuses. 

  • Level I (0-1 yrs of exp. plus MA diploma) = $17.20 - $17.79 per hour
  • Level II (1-3 yrs of exp. plus MA diploma) = $18.67 - $19.66 per hour
  • Level III (3-5 yrs of exp. plus MA diploma) = $20.23 - $21.30 per hour
  • Level IV (5+ yrs of exp. plus National MA certification) = $22.51 - $23.70 per hour
  • Level V (10+ yrs of exp. plus Associates in Medical Assisting and National MA cert) = $24.60 - $25.89  per hour

 

The Leidos QTC Health Services pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Typical Day:

  • Initial training is 3 weeks long
  • Position is located ONSITE at our clinic in Pensacola, FL (address: 8333 N Davis Hwy Ste 601, Pensacola, FL 32514)
  • Shifts are Mon – Fri from 7:30am – 5pm EST; Saturdays as needed from 8am – 5pm EST.

 

You must have:

  • Graduate of accredited vocational MA program / MA Diploma OR Military Equivalent (Medic/Hospital Corpsman)
  • Associates Degree in Medical Assisting required for Level 5. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 0 – 10 years of medical assistant experience. 
  • High School Diploma/GED. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of diploma.
  • National Medical Assistant certification required for Level 4 and Level 5.
  • Experience in Occupational Medicine clinic, General Medical, Internal Medicine work environment preferred.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting.
  • Technology driven medical data entry system experience or related computer data entry.
  • Ability to pass a medical clearance consisting of passing an N95 respirator fit test, properly wearing organizational standard respiratory protective equipment as required, passing a Tuberculosis/TB test, and receiving a Hepatitis A/B vaccine series or passing a Hepatitis A/B Titer test and other medical clearances/vaccinations as required.
