Job Title: Senior Technical Consultant / Risk & Controls Specialist
Pay Rate: $34/hr
Duration: 24 months on W2
Location: All, Maryland, United States 

Job Description: The Senior Technical Consultant / Risk & Controls Specialist will utilize developed subject matter knowledge to address a broad range of business and technology issues, resolving both standard and complex challenges within established guidelines. This role will involve recommending appropriate alternatives, leading initiatives, and guiding team decision-making processes. The position requires independent judgment within generally defined policies, with the ability to handle unique situations and consult on complex business issues.
Responsibilities:

  • Apply advanced technical knowledge to manage one or more high-risk technology areas (e.g., server administration, technical security management, performance management) for critical customer groups.
  • Integrate technical expertise with business acumen to design and implement effective solutions.
  • Resolve incidents that span across multiple technologies independently, collaborating with team members on unusually complex cases.
  • Proactively prevent potential technical issues through both reactive and proactive analysis.
  • Apply HP solutions and knowledge to meet complex customer requirements.
  • Identify potential service opportunities that contribute to service revenue growth.
  • Act as a technical consultant during contract renewals, providing guidance on technical requirements and improvements.
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships within customer accounts to ensure satisfaction and understanding of client needs.
  • Lead the design, management, and delivery of industry support solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Oversee customer expectations and manage escalation processes effectively.
  • Lead or participate in large-scale programs or projects, ensuring successful cross-team collaboration.
  • Coach and mentor junior consultants to foster a culture of learning and growth.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an Associate degree in a technical field, with 5-7 years of relevant experience in a related field.
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of HP products and services, with a strong understanding of competitive products, third-party offerings, and market trends.
Skills:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of business and functional processes, with expert-level technical acumen.
  • Proficiency in consulting, communication, and presentation, with the ability to engage diplomatically up to senior management levels.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills, both proactive and creative, with a focus on operational efficiencies.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to adjust messages based on audience levels.
  • Solid project management skills and a customer-focused mindset.
