The Director, Business Analytics, will own the delivery of operational business analysis and reporting, including the staffing model projections for Operations. This working leader will provide managerial direction and oversee all aspects of performance management for direct reports. There will be significant interactions with executive leadership in Operations, Protection and Retirement segments, Corporate Accounting, and Information Technology.



This individual is responsible for setting priorities for the team and for collaborating with managers in other operational areas to ensure business needs are met. The position will provide input into the vision and strategy with strategic level thinking and decision-making skills as we partner with the Business.



***This role will be titled Director, Business Systems within the organization.***

Responsibilities: Provide managerial direction and oversee all aspects of performance management for direct reports. Measure and hold direct reports accountable for meeting defined performance standards; provide feedback to employeesOversee and ensure the development of team members; provides coaching to employees through their personal growth in functional expertise, communication skills, and ability to effectively interact with clients and peersInterfaces regularly with key stakeholders to discuss progress, resolve issues, and identify future opportunities while communicating a strong understanding of business needsEstablishes team priorities to meet business needs/deadlines and partners with Business leaders to mitigate barriers.Oversees the development of reporting and analysis to support business objectivesOversees the development and maintenance of staffing models that support business and financial objectivesPrepare ad hoc analyses and assist with special projects to support key strategic initiatives

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred)2+ years experience with SQL ServerProficient in Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel2+ years experience with data visualization tools (PowerBI or Tableau)Experience solving complex multi-dimensional business problemsMinimum of 2+ years of management experienceDemonstrated ability to communicate clearly, negotiate, listen, mitigate conflict, build alliances, and achieve results.
Protective’s targeted salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective’s total compensation package for employees.

This position also offers additional incentive opportunities [through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance] OR [through cash compensation as part of a sales incentive plan (SIP).
