Your Role
The Installation and Billing (I&B) team within Blue Shield of California oversees the enrollment, billing and payments process for their groups and members. The Experienced Business Analyst will report to the Manager of Programs and Projects. In this role you will drive the facilitation, management and analysis of incidents related to enrollment, billing, and invoicing for the I&B Team. Incidents are items where current coding logic is not functioning as designed and requires attention to resolve them as soon as possible. In some cases, an incident will turn into a service enhancement which requires new development and coding.
Your Work
In this role, you will:
Provide analytical support through the analysis and interpretation of data in support of cross-functional business operations
Facilitate the intake, management progression and closure of enrollment, billing and invoicing incidents related to the Blue Shield of California membership.
Contribute to developing and building business cases for new business initiatives and determining escalation requirements (cost/benefit analysis)
Contribute to developing, preparing, and analyzing reports for management review, and present them to various levels of management.
Define business requirements and provide analysis to increase operational efficiency
Analyze actual results against plan and forecast and recommend interventions where appropriate
Keep detailed records of incidents, actions taken, and resolutions for future reference and analysis
Work cross-functionally and collaborate with IT, Product Owners, and Business Stakeholders to understand the issues, escalate where necessary, and coordinate resolution.
Your Knowledge and Experience Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceRequires at least 3 years of prior relevant experienceMinimum 2 years of experience in defining business requirements and providing cost/benefit analysis preferredExperience preparing and analyzing reports to present to stakeholders or leadership as required Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to product end users, stakeholders, and executives Ability to handle multiple projects or initiatives with competing deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applicationsMust reside in the state of CA and preferably within a 50-mile radius from one of our Sacramento region office locations - Lodi, Rancho Cordova, or El Dorado Hills Pay Range:The pay range for this role is: $ 66,800 to $ 93,400 for California.Note:Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
