Job Description

The Platforms and Editorial Director is part of the Global Content Strategy, Development & Distribution team, reporting into the Senior Director, Global Strategic Planning. This individual will be part of a global team responsible for developing and scaling best-in-class content on behalf of Visa’s marketing positioning and voice.

This individual will oversee the planning, management, and optimization of Visa’s content across global social media platforms.  This person should have a passion and experience in:

Social Listening across industries, trends, and topicsReal-time and reactive content developmentEditorial Planning and ManagementCommunity Management and EngagementSocial Platforms, Algorithms and TrendsPerformance and Measurement to Optimize

Essential Functions (Required):

Use data and best practices to plan, schedule and post Visa content across key platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedInProvide strong guidance on platform and content best practices (by staying on the edge of platform trends, algorithms and innovation)Partner with Content Strategy to maintain a deep understanding of audiences and communities as well as their wants and needsPartner with Community Management team to identify and drive real-time engagement opportunities that builds communityMine, track and identify trends from the Visa community that can inform future strategies

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience
with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a
PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an
Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• 12+ years experience in strategic and/or operations roles managing digital and social marketing
and content
• Deep experience with social media platforms as demonstrated through an understanding of the
unique languages, algorithms and advertising model within each major platform
• Content strategy, financial services or payments industry experience preferred
• Extremely organized with keen attention to detail
• An influential and confident leader with experience collaborating across complex global teams
• Bring fresh creative ideas to increase efficient and effective experimentation
• You have a bias for action, not bureaucracy, and are able to act nimbly and quickly while rallying
cross-functional teams.
• Must have proven ability to drive results with a high degree of personal initiative and leadership in a
fast-paced, dynamic environment with limited resources.
• A thought-leader, change agent, and champion of developing new ways of working.
• Must have strong leadership experience with a desire to mentor and grow teams.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 180,700 to 262,100 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
