Position Overview:
Craft Machine is seeking a skilled NDT Level II Inspector to join our team. The NDT Level II Inspector will be responsible for performing non-destructive testing (NDT) to ensure the quality and integrity of metal components and equipment. This role requires expertise in NDT methods, interpreting test results, and adhering to industry standards and specifications.
Responsibilities:
Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) using methods such as ultrasonic (UT), magnetic particle (MT), liquid penetrant (PT), radiographic (RT), and visual inspection (VT).
Set up and calibrate NDT equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.
Conduct inspections on precision metal components to detect discontinuities, defects, and material properties.
Interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
Document inspection results accurately, maintaining detailed records and reports.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to communicate findings and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Perform routine maintenance on NDT equipment to ensure reliability and accuracy.
Stay updated with industry standards, emerging NDT technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification as an NDT Level II Inspector in applicable methods (UT, MT, PT, RT, VT).
Proven experience as an NDT Inspector in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in NDT methods, techniques, and equipment.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Strong analytical skills for evaluating test results and identifying defects.
Knowledge of industry standards and codes related to NDT.
Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Strong communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with team members.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
Stamina to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods during inspections.
Visual acuity and attention to detail for performing precise inspections.
