Plans and prepares manufacturing production schedules, assesses changes and improves processes as necessary. Tracks status of material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, and materials are avaialble as needed. Prepares reports on works in progress. Coordinates material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials are timed to meet production requirements. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, and other groups. Schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders. Review and maintain master production schedule (MPS).

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering and 5 years of prior relevant experience in Production Planning/ SIOP/ Operations OR
• Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience in Production Planning/ SIOP/ Operations OR
• In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience in Production Planning/ SIOP/ Operations is required
• Good communication and presentation skills in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Advanced Excel (VBA’s and MACRO Development, PowerPoint)
 
 Preferred Qualifications:
•Prior experience working with and analyzing large data sets for Production Planning/ SIOP/ Material Analysis / Operations
•Planning materials management experience
•Openness to learning new systems/processes/technologies
•Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
