Job Description

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa’s network clients, including both financial services and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, Visa Consulting and Analytics solves the most strategic problems for our clients.

The US Consulting Practice within Visa Consulting & Analytics provides consulting and solution services for Visa’s largest issuers in the United States. We apply deep expertise in the payments industry to provide solutions to assist clients with their key business priorities, drive growth and improve profitability. The VC&A team provides a comprehensive range of consulting services to deliver solutions that address unique challenges in areas such as improving profitability, strategic growth, customer experience, digital payments and managing risk. 

You will join our consulting team and play a role in delivering and implementing high impact projects and solutions with U.S. Financial Institutions/Issuing Banks. This person will develop initiatives to promote balanced and profitable growth, thereby ensuring that Visa is both, the preferred brand and unique business partner. 

Potential engagements could include product development, program launch, customer acquisition, customer life cycle optimization, retention improvement, benchmark analysis, profitability improvement. 

Essential Functions

Proactively engage with Visa internal teams in regular strategic & planning discussionsLead consulting initiatives and contribute to closing engagements by identifying potential opportunities with Issuing Bank Partners for future engagementsConfidently address client inquiries and serve as the primary point of contact for both clients and internal questions.Manage multiple priorities across various workstreams and projects simultaneously.Transform problem statements into proposals with guidance from leadership.Develop frameworks, approaches, solutions, and recommendations that effectively and efficiently address the most impactful opportunities and challenges Build solutions and measurable insights that will help clients to grow their portfolios and drive customer engagement in their core business, includes generating complex client profit & loss statements using levers to improve various line items as needed while working independentlyCollaborate cross-functionally (e.g., marketing, sales, risk, innovation) and across global regional teams to execute projects in ways that use the breadth and depth of Visa’s resources Produce insights, analyses, and recommendations to improve client performance, boost growth, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic mentorship for client priorities across the verticals and segments Reliably manipulate and analyze large datasets (industry and Visa) to uncover meaningful insights and recommendations for clients, including executing data pivots and complex data synthesis.Develop new scalable solutions, toolkits, best practice documents, and consulting methodologies applicable across VCA practices.

Incumbents applying for the role should be self-motivated, highly energized, detail-oriented individuals who will deliver strategic thought leadership, problem diagnostics and high impact solutions to clients support the growth and performance. Candidates must be able to develop enduring, strategic relationships with internal and external clients and across the Visa organization. This is an individual contributor role, reporting into a Director within VCA. 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications:

6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhDStrong analytical ability and proven intellectual rigorExcellent communication, storytelling, and facilitation skills.Collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, adept at working within a matrixed organization.Prior experience at large management consulting firm or US Financial InstitutionCompetence in using financial indicators to assess business performance, focusing heavily on return on investment.Ability to draw meaningful insights from both quantitative and qualitative dataProficient in data-driven storytelling with effective data visualization, use data to improve project executionAble to generate templates + storyboards (flow / structure), guide others, and ask questions to uncover new areas of analysisSelf-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently and work independentlyKnowledge and understanding of banking operations and/ or payment schemes, including related products & services, business systems and processes, marketing initiatives and card issuing experienceTechnologically savvy, curious, well-informed about digital trends and applications

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 132,300.00 to 191,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
