Job Title: Human Factors Senior Consultant-ASEWe are seeking a highly skilled Human Factors Senior Consultant-ASE to join our team. As a key member of our Applied Safety and Ergonomics group, you will be responsible for managing consulting projects, conducting field investigations and physical testing, and reviewing scientific literature and standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain a consulting practice, including site and product inspections, and expert reports.
- Conduct research and analysis to provide written analysis to colleagues and clients.
- Prepare and organize case files, including evidence, exhibits, depositions, and other items.
- Provide deposition and trial testimony, and develop records regarding billable hours.
- Contribute to the planning and development of document-based deliverables, including use-related risk documentation and usability study protocols.
- Analyze observational and qualitative interview data, and develop reports presenting study findings to clients.
- Master's degree in Cognitive, Experimental, or Industrial Psychology, Neuroscience, Industrial & Systems Engineering, or Human Factors.
- 3+ years of work experience in human factors litigation consulting.
- Preferred: Ph.D. in Cognitive, Experimental, or Industrial Psychology, Neuroscience, Industrial & Systems Engineering, or Human Factors.
- Preferred: Board Certification from BCPE and/or Professional Engineer License.
- Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent client relations and management skills.
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Statistical Software (SPSS, etc.).
$100,000 - $180,000, dependent on education, experience, location, and certifications/licensure.
