Must possess a strong interest in welding processes and applications.
Must posses basic knowledge and understanding of welding processes and technology and a desire to continually develop skills, technical understanding, and knowledge base of Airgas value added offers to the welding & fabrication industry. .
Must have a minimum of 4 to 5 years of welding experience or supply to the welding and fabrication industry
Must be able to apply mathematical formulas that quantify the costs associated with customer processes so that analysis and comparisons may be created.
Requires a minimum Associate degree in Welding, Military Weld training or Bachelor's degree (Engineering), or equivalent combination of education and experience. An established track record of high level technical sales results may be considered in combination with or in lieu of educational requirements.
Previous experience in technical sales or direct sales to the welding and fabrication industry is preferred
Possession of AWS Certified Welding Sales Representative or similar welder certifications is preferred.
Experience in Total Quality Management, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma implementation in a fabrication or manufacturing environment is desirable.
Must be self-motivated and results and action-oriented.
Must have good communication skills and confidence to interact at all levels of the customer and Airgas organization.
Must be proficient with computer applications including but not limited to Microsoft and Google office products.
