Position Summary

The Welder Fabricator will be responsible for executing a variety of fabrication and welding tasks. This role involves providing production support for specialized projects and assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble parts and components according to work instructions.
  • Fabricate parts and brackets as required using diagrams and/or engineering drawings.
  • Follow both oral and written task instructions diligently.
  • Identify and assist in resolving issues stemming from engineering or design challenges.
  • Perform self-inspections throughout shifts; analyze and suggest improvements for ongoing processes.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment while maximizing space efficiency.
  • Collaborate effectively with supervisors and team members.
  • Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment proactively.
  • Adhere to quality service standards and comply with procedures, regulations, and policies.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 to 4 years of welding experience.
  • Essential proficiency in tape measurement and blueprint reading.
  • Prior fabrication experience or certification is a plus.
  • High level of skill in Mig/Tig welding (Ferrous and alloy metals; experience with stainless steel and aluminum is required).
  • Familiarity with cutting equipment (Plasma, acetylene torch, shear).
  • Strong reading comprehension, writing, and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to understand written and verbal work instructions.
  • Proficient in using basic hand tools, shop tools, and equipment; capable of using measuring devices to meet required tolerances.
  • Mechanically inclined with a quick understanding of processes and adaptability to changes.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and related machinery.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and secure work environment.
  • Welding Certification is advantageous.
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or automotive industries is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel if necessary.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening is required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Movement involving walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and crawling.
  • Regularly lift and move items up to 10 lbs.; frequently handle loads up to 30 lbs.; occasionally manage items up to 50 lbs.
  • Visual acuity and ability to adjust focus at varying distances; position requires peripheral vision, depth perception, and color distinction.
  • Accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
Work Environment
  • Exposure to high noise levels.
  • Potential exposure to caustic fumes and fluids.
  • Use of protective gear is mandatory, including safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hard hats.
  • Avoidance of loose clothing and jewelry is required.
  • May involve operating a motor vehicle and outdoor work.

Compensation and Benefits:

The compensation for this role ranges from $18 to $20 per hour. Generally, individuals work a 40-hour week, consisting of four 10-hour shifts.
