Business Development Manager - Primary Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty effectively. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The individual must be able to supervise and maintain positive relationships with clients, externally, and internally.
- Generate, develop and maintain new and existing client relationships
- Develop leads for temporary, temp-to-hire and direct hire employment placements
- Qualify leads, identify potential targets
- Develop relationships with all levels of buyers at target companies
- Develop business contacts through active participation in business oriented or community events
- Visit clients at their office locations to follow up on leads
- Proven ability to handle objections, build rapport, manage expectations to gain new business or retain repeat business and referrals
- Assist other members of the internal staff team when needed
- Willing to spend the greater part of the business day traveling locally to client office locations for appointments or new client development
- Record and document detailed notes on client interactions in a proprietary CRM system
- Apply strategic thinking for client follow up, relationship management, and sales closing
- Meet monthly, quarterly and yearly sales, gross margin and profit targets
- Conduct 10 client appointment visits per week
- Conduct 65-75 inside sales calls and/or 65-75 outside sales calls per week
Education and Experience:
- BA is preferred but not required
- H.S. Diploma or GED is required
- 1 to 5 years of recent experience in outside sales
- Must exhibit zero fear of making inside and outside sales phone calls and have the ability to walk into any setting to represent the brand.
- Must exhibit moderate to high energy to make several inside and outside calls
- Experience selling to all levels of staff at corporate clients
- Effectiveness with Email, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
- Must be an organized planner who follows through on all details. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively respond to questions or complaints in a timely manner
- Ability to make independent decisions and exercise sound judgement and discretion according to the company policies and to ensure profitability
- Ability to work well under pressure
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $50,000.00 Per Year
