The account lead compels the team to exceed client expectations with great guidance and superior understanding of the agency’s clients' industries and business objectives. This individual is a charismatic professional who is eager to work with a fun, smart, earnest, idea-first-oriented team. This role is an integral component of the agency’s success, whose purpose is to drive extraordinary results that lead to growth, profitability, and extremely satisfied clients.

This award-winning agency crafts brands, strategies, creative and campaigns for clients who give a damn. They embrace a simple but profound truth: Doing great marketing is really freaking tough. They don’t run from the hairy work of rallying people and forging alignment, they embrace it. Their work space is anti-stuffy and pro-bananas (the fruit — not the state of mind), located in Milwaukee’s coolest, coffee-est neighborhood, Walker’s Point.

Duration: Full-time, direct hire
Location: Hybrid, at their snazzy new Milwaukee, HQ, 3 days/week
Compensation: $95,000 maximum

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the client relationship
As an Account Lead you are hyper focused on building, executing and delivering exceptional work for clients, including integrated marketing campaigns, building new brands from the ground up, world class video production... just to name a few.
- You are attentive to client needs by providing recommendations, always honing in on what can do to deliver meaningful solutions for the client
- You have the answers to clients’ questions even before they’re asked
- You are responsible for producing measurable business results for the agency’s clients and for the agency, by meeting client project and business goals, and delivering on the agency’s financial plans for the future.
- You’re the first person clients go to when they have marketing and advertising quandaries
- You know more about the clients’ brand and industry than they do
- The team comes to you for answers; not the other way around
Ensure world-class projects come to life
You thrive on ensuring the client’s project is delivered on time and on budget. You help the client dream big – from the brief, to production to post analysis.
- The agency thrives on well-written and insight-led briefs: It’s up to you to create them and ensure full alignment for every stakeholder
- Create presentation decks that have the perfect narrative and shares the agency’s work in a meaningful, impossible-to-resist way
- Lead client meetings and presentations at every phase of the work
- Facilitate and contribute to brainstorming sessions, using internal proven methodologies
- Lead and direct your Account Coordinator to manage communication between client and the team
- Development of account plans in collaboration with other teammates
- Collaborate and interact with the rest of the team to consistently win for clients
Have a great “spidey” sense
You are an extension of the client’s team, always anticipating what they need before they even know it.
- Demonstrate understanding of client’s brands and how each project’s objectives fit into the overall brand strategy
- Demonstrate understanding of agency campaign and brand building tools
- Have greater responsibility for project financial management – develop and revise estimates based on project scope
- Analyze project profitability and propose recommendations based on analysis; can confidently communicate with clients regarding project related financial issues
REQUIREMENTS:
- 6-9 years of experience in advertising, marketing or promotions agency
- Post-Secondary education in Business/Marketing/Advertising
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
- Proven success with client management and program development
- Marketing communication, product and service marketing, and creative industry experience
- Familiarity and comfort with print, digital and web design/development processes
- Adapt quickly to new technologies
- Excellent MS Office Suite skills
- Experience with Google Drive a plus
- Exceptional ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities with aplomb
