Purpose of Position: Responsible for reviewing and approving resident certifications for affordable housing programs and assisting the Compliance Director with compliance related duties.


Essential Duties:

  • Review and approve move-in and recertification files for properties in multiple states
  • Correspond with on-site staff professionally through phone calls and emails
  • Provide support to on-site staff for compliance related requests
  • Maintain status reports for property recertifications
  • Data entry to state compliance reports
  • Request files for lender and state agency audits and obtain corrections
  • Assist with on-site file audits for all properties and obtain corrections as needed
  • Obtain utility company estimates and assist with updating utility allowances annually
  • Provide on-site staff with file processing assistance as needed
  • Complete acquisition related compliance duties as needed
  • Attend scheduled compliance meetings and trainings
  • Assist requests and tasks from the Compliance Director as needed


Requirements

  • HCCP Designation Preferred
  • Experience with Section 42 tax credit, HUD, HOME, and other affordable housing programs
  • Extensive knowledge of Section 42 policies and procedures
  • Section 42 tax credit certifications preferred
  • College degree and/or commensurate work experience.
