Job Title: Mechanical CAD Engineer

At Softworld, a Kelly Company, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical CAD Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical CAD Engineer to design and develop mechanical systems, fixtures, and test equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of 3D CAD design, SolidWorks, and CREO, as well as experience with product lifecycle management and technical data packages.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems, fixtures, and test equipment using 3D CAD software
  • Generate and review mechanical system documentation, including 2D drawings and technical specifications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets customer requirements and industry standards
  • Develop and maintain technical data packages, including ANSI Y14.5 dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical CAD design and development
  • Strong understanding of 3D CAD design, SolidWorks, and CREO
  • Experience with product lifecycle management and technical data packages
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing tasks and demands

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-year degree in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering
  • Experience working in a defense contracting environment
