Our manufacturing client is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of skilled automation and manufacturing engineers. This is an exciting opportunity to drive continuous improvement, streamline production, and collaborate with various departments on cutting-edge engineering projects. In this role, you’ll not only manage day-to-day operations but also play a key part in shaping future business strategies, working closely with the product integration team.


Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Learn manufacturing processes and industry/customer specifications
  • Project planning utilizing SharePoint
  • Design and build specialty machines
  • Complete ad-hoc engineering tasks

Support manufacturing, including:

  • Participate in and lead continuous improvement
  • Design and build fixtures
  • Design and prove tooling
  • Conduct manufacturing studies (time, quality, etc.)
  • PPAP Engineering activities
  • Product design reviews
  • Deviations and Engineering Change Notice processing
  • Create prototype and program parts

Supervisory:

  • Train employees to understand and follow department control plans
  • Fill out & approve HR documentation/forms related to employees
  • Conduct performance reviews of employees per HR procedures
  • Monitor department staffing and coordinate hiring with VP Manufacturing & HR personnel


Minimum Qualifications:

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Experience in management


Physical Requirements:

  • Be able to sit or stand for long periods
  • Be able to kneel, stoop, or bend
  • Be able to work in the plant from time to time to gain knowledge, which could require lifting up to 50 lbs and pushing or pulling items on carts with up to 100 lbs of work.
