Strategic Communications Specialist

We‘re looking for an experienced communications specialist like you, who is ready to grow and willing to win for the client and live our mission every day. Here, you‘ll advance your consulting skills to design, develop, produce, and consult on a variety of internal and external communication materials and media that supports the Department of Defense.

As a communications specialist on our team, you‘ll closely impact the development of creative solutions to complex problems. Your self-guided yet collaborative spirit will shape and nurture relationships with team members and clients to clearly communicate mission objectives and capabilities to key stakeholders throughout the national security environment.

As a collaborator on all aspects of oral and written communications, you‘ll author mass emails, website updates, reports, and presentations. Your creative-thinking and business-oriented mindset will guide your client to inform key audiences through words, images, and sound with tools like PowerPoint, SharePoint, and FmOnline.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience in communications

  • Knowledge of core Strategic Communication principals

  • Ability to operate autonomously and meet deadlines

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor‘s

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience working within the Department of Defense

  • Experience with Social Media and content management

  • Knowledge of SharePoint and Intranet management

  • Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) certification

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual‘s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen‘s total compensation package for employees.
