As the Sales Coordinator you will be responsible for customer contact and support of the sales force in order to meet the customer's needs and requests for quotations resulting in submission of purchase orders. Responsible for contract review and maintenance of the centralized purchase order system. As a non exempt employee (OT eligible), you will work during the day (Monday to Friday) in our HQ offices in Sterling Heights, MI and report to the Director of Sales.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Provides timely and accurate responses to customer requests for quotes, samples and purchase order status information.
  • Forwards customer requests for quotations and assists the New Business Conversion team as necessary to ensure timely quotation turnaround.
  • Processes customer purchase orders in accordance with contract review procedure(s) ensuring accuracy of contract pricing, delivery terms and payment conditions. Also, communicates with customer base, sales personnel and customer service personnel regarding purchase order issues for resolution preventing processing purchase orders.
  • Maintains centralized customer purchase order repository and updates Salesforce system with status of customer purchase orders.
  • Coordinates new part notification with Production Control and Quality departments to ensure timely processing of customer PPAP requirements.
  • Responsible for accessing and maintaining customer specific websites, ensuring two way communications between customer base and the company.
  • Assists Accounts Receivable department personnel in resolution of open invoicing issues and pricing inquiries.
  • Works with internal and external sales, engineering, and production personnel to resolve customer issues.
  • Customer concern process - advises appropriate personnel of complaints or rejections in order to initiate corrective action.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Requirements:
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Three or more years experience in customer service and sales coordination
  • Proficient Office Suite skills
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
  • Able to understand purchase orders, quotations and price changes
  • Knowledge of customer portals such as Covisant and quote tracking systems
Preferred:
  • Fastener industry knowledge
  • Experience using Google for Work
