The Hancock County Prosecuting Attorney is seeking a full-time deputy prosecuting attorney. The Deputy prosecutor will be approximately 50% responsible for prosecuting and supervising child support enforcement and approximately 50% probation violations and miscellaneous hearings in a high-volume court. Job responsibilities need to be split roughly evenly between these two obligations. The position offers a competitive salary for a deputy prosecutor and provides full-time county benefits, including healthcare and PERF retirement. The Hancock County Prosecutor is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Requirements:

• Doctor of Jurisprudence degree and a license to practice law in the state of Indiana

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• The ability to work well with others as part of a team is critical to success in this position

• Ability to multi-task and manage a large volume of work

• Applicants are expected to be a self-starter and an aggressive problem solver

• Proficient computer and technology skills.

Preferences:

• 1+ years of prosecution experience

• Familiarity with INPCMS and e-discovery

Leadership Skills

Familiarity with child support obligations and enforcement mechanisms
