Job Description

Our company is looking for an experienced and talented CNC Lathe Operator

This individual will be responsible for performing specific machining operations such as boring, turning, threading, and facing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •     Must be familiar with general lathe machine operations and mechanical skills.
  •     Must be able to operate lifting devices and able to lift and handle components weighing up to 35 lbs.
  •     Be adaptable to a constant changing work environment, including frequent changes, delays and unexpected events.
  •     Must be able to verify dimensions using measuring devices – mics, calipers and depth mics
  •     Have knowledge of machine drawings, fit and tolerances.
  •     Must be able to follow written and oral instructions and work without constant supervision.
  •     Can work either independently, or with others as some tasks require more than one individual

REQUIREMENTS:

  •     5+ Years experience
  •     Detail oriented and Excellent Organizational skills
  •     Be familiar with boring, drilling, reaming, threading and tapping operations
  •     Knowledge of preparation of tools for machining and able to measure workpieces and verify dimensions using appropriate tools.
  •     Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces
  •     Load feed mechanism by lifting stock into position
  •     Able to detect malfunctions, replacing worn tools and able to clean debris from machinery
  •     Responsible for keeping work area clean and orderly and abide by company safety and personnel policies.
  •     Carrying out of any additional responsibilities as needed
  •     Overtime as required
  •    Experience operating Grinders a plus
