Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate familiarity with standard lathe machine operations and possess strong mechanical aptitude.
- Operate lifting equipment and manage components weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Adapt to a dynamic work environment, accommodating frequent changes and unexpected occurrences.
- Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges.
- Understand machine schematics, fit, and tolerances.
- Follow both written and verbal instructions effectively and work autonomously.
- Collaborate with colleagues when tasks necessitate teamwork.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in boring, drilling, reaming, threading, and tapping processes.
- Capable of preparing tools for machining and measuring workpieces accurately.
- Ensure settings are verified by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces.
- Load stock into position for machining.
- Identify malfunctions, replace worn tools, and maintain cleanliness of machinery.
- Maintain a tidy work environment and adhere to safety and personnel policies.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
- Availability for overtime as necessary.
- Experience with grinders is advantageous.
