Job Overview

The selected candidate will undertake various machining tasks including boring, turning, threading, and facing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate familiarity with standard lathe machine operations and possess strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Operate lifting equipment and manage components weighing up to 35 lbs.
  • Adapt to a dynamic work environment, accommodating frequent changes and unexpected occurrences.
  • Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges.
  • Understand machine schematics, fit, and tolerances.
  • Follow both written and verbal instructions effectively and work autonomously.
  • Collaborate with colleagues when tasks necessitate teamwork.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in boring, drilling, reaming, threading, and tapping processes.
  • Capable of preparing tools for machining and measuring workpieces accurately.
  • Ensure settings are verified by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces.
  • Load stock into position for machining.
  • Identify malfunctions, replace worn tools, and maintain cleanliness of machinery.
  • Maintain a tidy work environment and adhere to safety and personnel policies.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
  • Availability for overtime as necessary.
  • Experience with grinders is advantageous.
