Job Overview

Total Manufacturing Co is seeking a proficient and skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our dynamic team.

The selected candidate will be tasked with executing various machining functions including boring, turning, threading, and facing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in standard lathe machine operations and possess strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Capable of utilizing lifting equipment and handling components weighing up to 35 lbs.
  • Adaptable to a rapidly changing work environment, including frequent modifications, delays, and unforeseen circumstances.
  • Skilled in verifying dimensions using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges.
  • Understanding of machine schematics, fits, and tolerances.
  • Able to follow both written and verbal instructions while working independently or collaboratively as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational capabilities.
  • Familiarity with boring, drilling, reaming, threading, and tapping processes.
  • Knowledgeable in tool preparation for machining and capable of measuring workpieces accurately.
  • Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run components, and sample pieces.
  • Load feed mechanisms by positioning stock appropriately.
  • Able to identify malfunctions, replace worn tools, and maintain cleanliness of machinery.
  • Responsible for maintaining a tidy and organized workspace while adhering to safety and personnel protocols.
  • Willingness to undertake additional responsibilities as required.
  • Availability for overtime as necessary.
  • Experience with grinders is advantageous.
