Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Director of Merchandising at the Kentucky Derby Festival in Louisville, KY. The role allows some flexibility for remote work. The Director of Merchandising will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of merchandising strategies to drive sales and enhance the overall customer experience.


Qualifications

  • Experience in a merchandising or retail management role
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement merchandising strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Knowledge of trends in the merchandising industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience with e-commerce and online merchandising is a plus
  • The position does require you to work in the office several days a week and in-person during events and programs.
