Medical Director of Neurology Services

The University of Louisville Health System in Kentucky seeks a highly qualified Medical Director for its Neurology Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure optimal patient care and departmental efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the stroke service team to conduct weekly interdisciplinary rounds and manage Stroke Registry and Epidemiology data collection.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on operational planning, budgeting, and equipment selection.
  • Facilitate communication between providers and staff to ensure seamless multidisciplinary care.
  • Maintain certification, licensure, and accreditation compliance.

Requirements:

  • Board certification in Neurology and Vascular Neurology (ABPN)
  • Eligibility for state licensure in the United States
  • US residency or fellowship training in Neurology
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, strong work ethic, and ability to collaborate effectively
