Description
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
- Analyze labor, material, and time requirements to determine project costs.
- Prepare and present detailed cost reports, bids, and proposals.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to gather essential project information.
- Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitor changes in design, scope, and project specifications to adjust estimates accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of estimated and actual project costs.
- Assist in developing and maintaining cost databases.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
Profile
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and cost estimating principles.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, PlanSwift).
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
