Project Description and Background

This exciting position will serve as a Senior Level Technology Services Project Manager for Client's Technology Services Division (TSD) supporting Client's State Ferries (WSF) efforts to modernize the customer facing technology solutions to improve the overall customer experience and manage congestion. This role will utilize their Senior Level knowledge, extensive experience, and expertise in the Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) methodology of execution in the procurement, configuration, and implementation of vendor hosted SaaS/COTS solution(s) to support travelers on the largest operating public ferry system in the US, while following the Policies, Standards and Practices of Washington Technology Solutions (WaTech), to ensure that their assigned projects are successfully completed.

Work Schedule, Location & Travel Expectations

The following expectations on work schedule, work location, and travel expectations:

Monday through Friday, up to forty (40) hours per week with some options for flex schedule.
WSDOT Washington State Ferries HQ Seattle WA, 98121, on occasion as needed.
Remotely from the candidate's home office, within the state of Washington only.
Occasional travel to other WSDOT locations- Ferries Terminals, Vessels will be required, with more frequent traveler during certain project phases.

Mandatory & Desirable Knowledge and/or Skills

Mandatory:

The Senior Level Technology Services Project Manager must have a current, valid, Project Management Professional certificate issued by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Senior Level of experience, (minimum of seven years), as a Lead Project Manager with direct, personal, experience in the creation and maintenance of IT project PMBOK documentation deliverables.
Senior Level of experience as a Lead Project Manager with experience in the procurement, implementation, and integration of an enterprise, large-scale, software application categorized as Software as a Service or Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) solutions, not in-house development.
Senior Level experience in agile project management methodologies to lead cross-functional teams and ensure the successful delivery of projects within scope, time, and budget.
Senior Level of knowledge of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) standards and guidelines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Senior PM Level of experience in Microsoft Office applications, MS Project, including Visio.

Desirable:

Prior IT Project Management experience on a project requiring Washington Technology Solutions (WaTech) oversight, providing all gated funding documentation and meeting WaTech's IT standards, policies, and guidelines
Prior IT Project Management experience with WSDOT projects.
Prior experience in the creation of State of Washington Request For Information (RFI), Request For Proposal (RFP), and Request For Quotation (RFQ) solicitations
Prior IT Project Management migrating public facing applications to a more modern, vendor hosted Software as a Service (SaaS) or Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) solution.
Prior IT Project Management experience in public transportation (ferries, buses, trains, etc.).
Prior management experience with direct involvement with payment processing and compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI).
Prior IT Project Management experience implementing a modern Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software solution.
