We provide international expertise on recyclability of packaging by hosting MasterClasses, assessing & testing packaging, giving advice and performing certifications on recyclability of packaging. You will be in regular contact with your international colleagues mainly via online sessions. You will get great flexibility in organizing your work. You can to a large extend decide on the moment of your work hours. It is also up to you to decide if you want to work from home or from a local office (50+ countries). You will get to drive the further development of a unique organization which is providing validated and targeting recycling information to the highest levels of some of the largest brand owners, packaging manufacturers, retailers and cosmetic companies on the market. Job responsibilities: You will design, build, and maintain data systems and applications that power our Recycling Intelligence services. Including developing and integrate APIs for internal systems and external partners, like SAP. Support the continuous improvement of our methodologies, ensuring our data remains accurate and aligned with recyclability, LCA, and compliance frameworks. Work with your colleagues to translate complex packaging and recycling datasets into structured, scalable databases. Document your own systems and workflows clearly, contributing to our collective knowledge base. Proactively identify ways to improve automation, data quality, and user experience across our digital tools. Collaborate closely with both technical and subject‑matter experts, taking co‑ownership of the data that underpins our products. Ensure our solutions align with CIRCPACK’s global standards and integrate effectively with enterprise environments. What you'll bring to the team: University (or applied sciences) degree and at least 3 years working experience in a data, engineering, or digital-product role. Strong hands‑on experience with Python (FastAPI) or Node.js (Express), and SQL databases (PostgreSQL/Supabase). Experience with React.js or Next.js for dashboards or admin panels. Understanding of API‑authentication, webhooks, data validation, and JSON‑transformations. Familiarity with deployment platforms (Vercel, Render, AWS) and environment management. Strong documentation habits and version control skills (Git/GitHub). Comfort in working across different regulatory and cultural contexts. A proactive, flexible nature and keen interest in learning both new technologies and recycling‑related topics. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality work. You are based in either FR, ES, DE, BE, UK, or NL. Strong preference for Belgium. Nice to haves: Experience with SAP API Hub, OData, or SAP Cloud SDK. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and secure credential management. Experience with Airtable API or Supabase client SDK. Understanding of JWT authentication and CORS configuration. Basic Java skills for SDK integration. Experience with LCA or EPR‑related data systems.
