SDS Transportation Support Supervisor

Overview:

Supervise, schedule, and provide oversight to the Transportation Support area in managing to company and department aligned goals, as well as, helping to solve day to day issues and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities:

1. Define, monitor, and communicate measurable performance goals via regular feedback and annual performance reviews.
2. Coach direct reports to maximize development of internal talent.
3. Oversee daily operations of the Transportation Support team including daily route processing, temperature monitoring, HazMat/wine BOLs, archiving trip sheets, etc.
4. Create, update, and maintain all SDS Transportation Support processes and SOPs
5. Develop and maintain the TSR schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage with appropriate resources during peak times.
6. Serve as the SDS Transportation department subject matter expert for the call logging software; Identify challenges within the processes and/or system and provide suggestions on opportunities for process improvement.
7. Coordinate communications from Transportation Support office to various internal groups such as Customer Service and SDS Operations.
8. Perform all duties and responsibilities of a Transportation Support Representative, as needed.

Qualifications:

(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)

High School Diploma/GED required
Related Technical / Trade Training / Sheetz Training required

Experience
Minimum 2 years related experience in transportation or logistics or required
Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
