POSITION SUMMARY:

The Admissions Director is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Admissions team and execution of effective and efficient processes for the department including, but not limited to: educating, advising, and selling referents and the public on Onsite programs and services, assisting in forecasting and planning, engagement of potential client and family members, as well as, referral relations. The Director of Admissions is responsible for providing coaching, training, and leadership to all Admissions team members and to actively collaborate with the Business Development team to execute strategic initiatives, support clients and referents, and deliver exceptional experiences.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Assist the VP in establishing annual admissions forecasts, goals, and targets for Milestones and Onsite workshops
  • Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with referents, potential clients, and families and supporters of potential clients; meet with professionals to present our services via phone, office visits, video conference, email, etc.; attend events and present services if needed
  • Work with the Onsite Foundation to process and approve discounts and program applications
  • Assist with reviewing group lists for referral relation management process; log information as needed into database
  • Manage the day-to-day intake and admissions process, including determination of appropriate program placement for clients, problem solving, client special needs, etc.
  • Assist with outgoing and incoming referral process, including partnering with clinical team to determine client dismissal procedures to ensure alignment with business development strategies and team; make treatment center, therapist, and other professional recommendations for outgoing clients in conjunction with clinical and admissions teams; participate in after care, evaluation and follow up with clients as needed
  • Participate in the development of executable action plans that deliver departmental results
  • Assist in the hiring of Admissions team members, provide training, identify and address individual developmental needs, provide coaching, and conduct performance evaluations of all Admissions Team members

  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance policy (e.g., HIPAA, CARF, etc.). Knowledge of and adherence to Company policies and procedures, as well as applicable federal / state / local laws and regulations. Maintain complete confidentiality in all client/program matters, in accordance with Onsite policy

Requirements

DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Onsite's leadership philosophy, policies, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include leading by example and assisting in establishing department vision, budget, and annual operating plans as well as serving on the Leadership team; interviewing, hiring, and training employees; establishing individual employee development plans; establishing succession plans for the department; planning, assigning, and directing work; oversight of appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; quality control.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

Education and/or Experience:

High school education with bachelor's degree preferred; Two years of experience as an Admissions Director; 7+ years of management experience required; Marketing, Sales, and Clinical experience preferred; Knowledge of 12 Step/recovery/counseling process and services with ability to communicate those in a professional manner strongly preferred.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and percentages.

Language Skills: Ability to understand, read, write and speak English. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, safety data sheets (SDS) or governmental regulations. Ability to successfully write reports, business correspondence and policy. Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions and professionally interact with managers, employees, clients, vendors and the general public.

Reasoning Ability: HIGH. Must be able to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect pertinent data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and initiate appropriate course of action. Must effectively convey ideas, images and goals to a diverse group of personalities.

Other Qualifications: General knowledge of computer applications for the frequent use of electronic mail, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics, etc. Must be able to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be detail oriented and organized with the ability to perform duties under pressure, prioritize workload, and meet timely deadlines. Must have the aptitude and ability to self-direct work..

Noise level is typical for an office and therapeutic/trauma treatment environment.
