The Voicebox Assistant General Manager oversees all aspects of the store alongside the General Manager.


You will have the courage to sing a song with a party if asked and have a good basic knowledge of current and past popular songs.

  • The AGM participates in the hiring of employees, directs, and oversees on-the-job training, ensures all work shifts are properly staffed, and that all employees are trained in their duties and supervised.
  • The AGM also interacts with Voicebox guests and must have excellent guest relations and communication skills. The AGM exemplifies and understands Voicebox’s core values.
  • The AGM is responsible for maintaining appropriate food, beverage, and labor costs as well as product and supply level inventories for the store.
  • The AGM will adhere to standard operating procedures and ensure all areas are compliant with the regulatory requirements and public health standards for food handling, sanitation, hygiene, and alcohol service.
  • The AGM will contribute to seeing that the store is maintained and that all infrastructure is in top working order. The AGM is expected to attend all higher-level management meetings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

  • Ensures efficient and effective operations within the company's fiscal, operational, and people guidelines
  • Responsible for staff training, development, evaluation, scheduling, and motivational efforts
  • Manages guest relations
  • Evaluates and analyzes periodic financial reporting
  • Maintains all compliance with federal and state regulations regarding licensing and distribution of products
  • Ensures effective communication between all management staff and personnel
  • Collaborates with the management team to increase sales and revenue
  • Works with General Manager on staff reviews and development
  • Acts as Manager-On-Duty as appropriate

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Consistent availability during Voicebox’s open hours

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Must be able to stand and exert fast paced mobility for a period up to four hours in length.
