Platform Staffing Group, (an STA Group Company), is currently seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to work in our client’s Midland Michigan ‘s office within their R& D Infrastructure area IT reporting to a Senior Manager.

Duties

Work with the IT team and senior technical staff on special projects to uplift, modernize and secure the server environment as directed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with at least 5+ years of system administration. Demonstrated ability to support multiple projects simultaneously and to complete tasks with minimal management oversight.

Required Skills

5+ years of demonstrated proficiency and experience in the following:

Server Administration:

Windows Server: Windows Server O/S versions 2012 through 2022

Linux Server: Ubuntu preferred.

Databases: Writing SQL queries against Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL databases

Web Server administration & configuration: IIS, Tomcat, Nginx

Scripting Languages: PowerShell and Bash

Authentication: Active Directory, LDAP and Oauth2

Software: Installation, configuration, and deployment of software applications (COTS and custom) on servers

Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, collaboration and communication skills

NICE TO HAVE Qualifications

Setting up VM servers and deploying applications in the Azure cloud.
