Job Description HBITS 07-14430 Software Analyst Senior role at Knowledge Builders Inc. Day to Day Tasks Work with end users and/or review/analyze existing documentation or system artifacts to document business system requirements and processes. Analyze and document current CAPAS/FIDAS business processes to identify improvements and to document the new set of business requirements going forward. Develop and maintain all Software and Business Analysis documentation, including workflow, data flow, UI interface, nonfunctional requirements, test plans, test cases, and use cases. Develop or maintain test plans and detailed test cases. Develop or maintain training or user acceptance testing plans and Tier 1 support guides. Ensure appropriate test coverage by mapping system requirements to test cases. Develop or contribute to the development of regression tests and/or user acceptance tests. Execute functional and system tests, including regression tests. Participate in user acceptance testing. Identify and document application defects and track to resolution, performing retesting as required. Mandatory Qualifications Software Analyst – studies the software application domain, prepares software requirements, and specification documents. Liaises between software users and developers, conveying user demands to developers. Requires working knowledge of software technology, computer programming experience, general business knowledge, problem‑solving skills, interpersonal skills, and flexibility. Senior level: 60–84 months, candidate works independently, provides guidance to others, and may have advanced education. Requested Qualifications 60 months experience performing software, business, and data analysis for multi‑year multi‑phase projects: developing requirements and specifications, performing business process analysis, facilitating meetings with users to identify & gather software needs, business rules, and complex security requirements; and test plan creation and execution. 60 months experience coordinating, tracking, and analyzing testing activities, including creating detailed test plans, executing those plans, and using defect management tools to identify, document, track, and communicate problems to technical staff. 60 months experience testing web‑based software applications that include a workflow component, including writing SQL data queries for validating application data. 48 months experience using HP Quality Center/ALM and/or Requisite Pro, or similar. 48 months working on projects utilizing an agile framework. 48 months working with .Net development projects. IIBA Professional Certification. Bachelor’s Degree in an Information Technology related field, from an accredited institution.
