Position Overview The Business Development Executive is responsible for cultivating and managing strong relationships with architects, general contractors, developers, and other specifiers to drive and close sales. The role focuses on identifying and qualifying commercial project opportunities, developing and implementing strategies to generate new accounts, and providing information to the project management team to close sales. Location San Francisco Showroom: 680 8th St. San Francisco, CA 94103 In-person/hybrid Candidate must live in the area to network and meet clients Responsibilities Prospecting daily to generate new business opportunities and leads for commercial projects, targeting architects, developers, general contractors, and project managers. Promoting our products and services to be specified in commercial projects. Conducting in-depth research on potential prospects to assess suitability for commercial projects. Identifying and establishing communication with key decision makers such as managing partners, VPs of development, construction, and estimating, internal architects, and directors of design or renovation. Systematically compiling contacts for developers, architects, and general contractors for streamlined automated email processes. Maintaining an efficient account management and follow‑up schedule. Engaging with general contractors to process pre‑qualification through the corporate team and secure placement on bid lists. Sending bid invitations through the central process to identify potential scopes of work and process estimates. Working closely with project management teams to ensure alignment, share information, and optimize project completion. Continuously meeting or exceeding monthly and yearly revenue targets. Participating in industry events, trade shows, and association activities (e.g., AIA, ASID, IIDA). Qualifications 5+ years of B2B sales experience in the commercial sector, building materials industry, or selling products for new development and multi‑family homes. Knowledge of commercial space plans and drawings. Strong research, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Self‑driven to develop a book of business through cold calling and networking. Proficiency in CRM and prospecting tools, preferably BCI and ZoomInfo USA. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client visits and on‑site meetings.
