Social Media Account Manager (Sports/Athletes Focused)

Get Engaged Media is seeking a dynamic and experienced Social Media Account Manager (Sports/Athlete-focused) to manage digital and social platforms for its Entertainment Social department. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of social media content strategies, including managing content, driving fan engagement, overseeing communication management and copywriting for high-profile athletes across various sports. This position requires a forward-thinking approach to social media planning, working closely with athletes, their management teams, and brand partners to deliver innovative and engaging content to grow their social presence.

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of the following social and digital media platforms:

    • Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, LinkedIn
    • Sprout Social, Mailchimp, Monday.com, Canva, DSPs (Is a Plus)
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media content timeline and strategy tailored to each clients brand and goals
  • Remain updated on social trends, platforms changes, and best practices to ensure clients are maximizing engagement
  • Provide innovative content ideas, leveraging creative formats like short-form videos, behind the scenes content, and educational videos to captivate audiences
  • Coordinate with creative and production team to produce video content ensuring it aligns with each clients brand
  • Build an online community by actively engaging with fan bases across all platforms
  • Analyze metrics for social content, providing regular insights and reports to client teams
  • Ownership of projects while collaborating with the Entertainment Social Team
  • Manage timeline communication with clients to ensure their goals are being met
  • Oversee large-scale brand deals, ensuring seamless integration into social channels
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays determined by client needs and activations
Skills:
  • Proven experience managing social media accounts, preferably within the Sports and Entertainment Industry
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and platform-specific strategies
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments, balancing multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Sharp attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Highly skilled in interpersonal skills and managing various personalities
  • Ability to present to clients and large teams
