74Wythe, a versatile hospitality venue situated along the Williamsburg waterfront, is actively seeking an energetic and driven Event Sales Expert to curate our event calendar. Our venue hosts an array of events, from exclusive private gatherings to public ticketed affairs, spanning black-tie galas, weddings, corporate conferences, and performances by international DJ talents. With over 15,000 sq ft encompassing a ground floor, mezzanine, and rooftop featuring a fully retractable canopy system, 74Wythe provides a unique and captivating space for unforgettable experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for increasing overall sales volume by developing key relationships with new accounts and the expansion of existing assigned accounts. Emphasis is placed on delivering exceptional client experiences while ensuring financial profitability.
  • Manage and maintain existing relationships with key accounts as well as focus on new business development to maintain a strong robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Confident and adept at both cold calling and actively reaching out to potential clients.
  • Skillfully qualify leads, develop innovative program strategies, and achieve individual annual sales goals.
  • Finalize and close business with clients, securing event deposits and signing contracts before transitioning to the event operations team.
  • Effective communication skills over the phone during initial outreach endeavors.
  • Engage with industry-related organizations and the local community to foster business development and strive for leadership recognition whenever feasible.
  • Contribute to the preparation and implementation of annual sales goals, detailing revenue projections.
  • Cultivate positive and lasting relationships with clients, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
  • Respond promptly, within 24 hours, to incoming leads, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Stay current on industry trends and developments.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the venue.

Requirements:

  • 5 or more years of experience in sales or business development, event management or hospitality preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality & Tourism, Business Management, Marketing, Communication, or related degree preferred
  • Familiarity with client development, encompassing aspects such as cultivating new business, pursuing leads, assessing client suitability, delivering proposal presentations, and successfully concluding business transactions.
  • Proficiency in program design and development, spanning the entire process from conceptualization to contract completion.
  • Proven track record to meet sales goals consistently.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and manage a diverse range of responsibilities throughout the workday with precision and diligence.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including hardware management and software familiarity. Experience with GSuite and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn various web based platforms such as Tripleseat, Canva and Prismm (formally AllSeated).
  • Anticipated commitment of 40 or more onsite hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend availability.
