Based upon the interests of the person in the position, there could be an opportunity to move to specialized areas within contracts and marketing or in related areas such as product or privacy. The successful applicant will directly interact with our senior leaders, learn and collaborate with our business partners, and leverage our processes all while making fast decisions, bringing your recommendations to life, and changing the trajectory of our business.

What you'll bring

  1. Must have a J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school or meet the requirements for legal education in a foreign country.
  2. 10+ years’ experience working in transactions and marketing, preferably in the tech field.
  3. Ability to think strategically and leverage strong analytical skills.
  4. Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally & build enduring partnerships.
  5. Outstanding verbal & written communication skills.
  6. High energy, positive mindset and "can do" attitude.

How you will lead

Working with the legal department’s contracts and marketing group, this individual will be responsible for drafting, negotiating and advising upon various U.S. and global commercial transactions, including in-bound and out-bound data licenses, SaaS, marketing, sales and other commercial contracts with minimal direction and supervision. There will be a primary focus on infrastructure service transactions, including AI services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn, a “can do” attitude and the willingness to work on a very large variety of work. The successful candidate will understand the technical and business ramifications of the transactions they work on and how to help the business intelligently manage risk.

This position also supports marketing activities. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of advertising and consumer protection laws and the desire to learn specific areas of marketing law (such as CAN-SPAM and TCPA compliance). The candidate will work closely with the business on matters including online social marketing, claims substantiation, comparative claims and the structuring and interpretation of survey results. In addition, the position will also include review and input on the privacy terms of our agreements. Knowledge of both U.S. and E.U. privacy requirements (preferably with IAPP certification in those jurisdictions) is highly desired.

Central to our group’s support model is constant effort to increase scalability / efficiency. The ideal candidate will be comfortable thinking outside the box and will be willing to participate / drive efforts to improve our day-to-day processes, tools and support models.
