Key Responsibilities- Obtain patient medical records and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Assist healthcare providers with exams, procedures, and patient care.
- Transport patients to other clinical areas as needed.
- Verify patient diagnoses and ensure accurate charting.
- Administer medications and perform basic laboratory tests.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic laboratory tests.
- Prepare patients for X-ray and instruct patients about medications.
- Notify patients regarding lab results and other test results.
- Participate in inventory procedures and coordinate with other departments to provide complete care to patients.
- High school diploma and completion of an ABHES or CAAHEP accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Certified Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants, American Medical Technologists, American Registry of Medical Assistant, or National Center for Competency Testing.
- Minimum of one year of full-time experience as a CMA in an outpatient family practice or primary care setting.
- Two letters of recommendation from practicing providers, supervisors, or program administrators.
- Competitive hourly rate of $19.00, plus $4.57 per hour for Health & Welfare.
- $2,000 sign-on bonus.
