Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Matrix Providers. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain patient medical records and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Assist healthcare providers with exams, procedures, and patient care.
  • Transport patients to other clinical areas as needed.
  • Verify patient diagnoses and ensure accurate charting.
  • Administer medications and perform basic laboratory tests.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic laboratory tests.
  • Prepare patients for X-ray and instruct patients about medications.
  • Notify patients regarding lab results and other test results.
  • Participate in inventory procedures and coordinate with other departments to provide complete care to patients.
Requirements
  • High school diploma and completion of an ABHES or CAAHEP accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Certified Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants, American Medical Technologists, American Registry of Medical Assistant, or National Center for Competency Testing.
  • Minimum of one year of full-time experience as a CMA in an outpatient family practice or primary care setting.
  • Two letters of recommendation from practicing providers, supervisors, or program administrators.
