Director of Business Development - Design & Consulting Join to apply for the Director of Business Development - Design & Consulting role at The Haskell Company. Responsibilities Leading and supporting national growth opportunities in the Food and Beverage, Manufacturing, and Consumer Products markets Communicating regularly with regional office leadership, business development, and project managers Conducting appropriate research to identify target companies/organizations within industry segments denoted in the business unit plan Contacting, qualifying and setting appointments with targets via telephone and electronic means Providing targets with appropriate Haskell marketing material and responses to specific interests identified by targets Visiting qualified targets and arranging for personal sales calls by appropriate Haskell personnel Preparing qualification statements and assisting in preparing responses to proposals for specific projects Developing and maintaining relationships with local and national civic, professional, and economic organizations that are sources of prospects Maintaining up-to-date prospect files and electronic databases Developing and managing a public relations program to include marketing and customer outreach Representing Haskell at trade shows, conventions, and professional meetings Qualifications Minimum of a 4-year college degree or equivalent experience Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, construction marketing, or a related field Demonstrated experience selling engineering services for private sector food & beverage/CPG manufacturing clients Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills Excellent sales and customer relationship skills Ability to understand and execute the company vision and values of Team, Excellence, Service, and Trust Benefits At Haskell, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, professional development opportunities, and more. Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
