DataStaff, Inc. is seeking a SharePoint Technical Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Raleigh, NC.
* This position is remote
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement SharePoint and web-based solutions that enhance critical Preconstruction processes within the Transportation Life Cycle.
- Translating requirements into user stories, tracking project progress, testing solutions, training users on new processes and systems, consulting with clients, and ensuring quality standards are met.
- Design SharePoint and web-based solutions to support Preconstruction business processes that are valuable to the Transportation Life Cycle.
- Translate design requirements into clearly defined and manageable user stories for the Development Team.
- Prioritize and track progress on work items and deliverables.
- Ensure work items and deliverables are scheduled, completed, and delivered to the clients on time with high quality and excellent, usable documentation.
- Document the program and project deliverables as assigned.
- Coordinate with clients to implement re-engineered business processes.
- Test SharePoint and web-based content management deliverables as required to support the re-engineered business processes.
- Draft and deliver training materials for changed business processes and IT applications.
- Consult with clients to prototype, refine, test, and debug applications and processes to meet business needs.
- Provide Quality Control for program and project deliverables.
- Mentor and provide guidance to Junior Level team members.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- The ideal candidate has business analysis experience, expertise in designing custom SharePoint solutions, analytical and communication skills to collaborate with both business and IT partners, SDLC/Agile knowledge, and technical writing abilities.
- Familiarity with systems and business processes is preferred.
- This hands-on, self-motivated professional will improve content management and workflows that deliver value.
- Experience as a Business Analyst
- Designing SharePoint and web-based content solutions
- Experience and proficiency in Quality Assurance testing and testing methodologies
- Working knowledge of AGILE software development methodology and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- SharePoint experience with designing custom Microsoft SharePoint lists, libraries, and content types
- Proven experience as a SharePoint Business Analyst
- Demonstrated experience in Quality Assurance and testing methodologies
- Motivated self-starter that can work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated experience with AGILE development methodology and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Demonstrated experience with Azure DevOps tool suite
- Experience with Balsamiq Wireframes and prototyping
Required Skills:
- 8 Years - Experience as a Business Analyst
- 8 Years - SharePoint design experience with Microsoft SharePoint lists, libraries and content types
- 8 Years - Designing and testing SharePoint and web-based content management solutions
- 8 Years - Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
- 8 Years - Positive interpersonal skills
- 8 Years - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to explain business processes to IT Development and IT applications to business users
- 3 Years - Excellent organizational and presentation skills
- 8 Years - Strong Microsoft Suite experience (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- 8 Years - Experience evaluating business processes and re-engineering
- 8 Years - Experience writing clear and concise technical training materials and other user documentation
- 8 Years - Working knowledge of Agile and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- 8 Years - Motivated self-starter that can work with minimal supervision
Desired Skills:
- 4 Years - Working knowledge of NCDOT’s Preconstruction business process
- 4 Years - Understanding of NCDOT’s Transportation Life Cycle business process
- 4 Years - Extensive experience with SharePoint Designer or Owner roles
- 4 Years - Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) or Azure DevOps tool suite
- 4 Years - Experience with Balsamiq Wireframes
This position is available on a corp-to-corp basis or as a W2 position with a competitive benefits package.
