Join our team at the Hilton Minneapolis/Bloomington Hotel as a Host/Room Service Server

**Responsibilities:**

* Meet and greet guests as they arrive, gather information such as name, check guest's reservations or log them in as a set up. Ensure even distribution of tables for each server.

* Politely take guests to table, hand them menus and the wine list, inform them who their server will be, inform them of specials and leave them with a courteous greeting.

* Receive, record and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant.

* Assists wait staff and bus staff as needed.

* Assist with all to-go orders.

* Participate in setting up of dining room and buffets.

* Act as a cashier for Dining Room.

* Process cash/checks payments.

* Answer phones and maintain voicemail.

* Assist with banquet event orders for private functions.

* Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and personal hygiene.

* Prepare trays and deliver to rooms.

* Maintain complete guest satisfaction by maintaining service standards.

* Check floors to be sure all trays and carts are retrieved.

* Prepare and deliver guest amenities.

* Keep room service area clean.

* Requisition and maintenance food supplies.

* Perform side work (open, close and shift maintenance duties).

* Pick up clean linen from laundry and return dirty linen.

* Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and personal hygiene.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

**Position Requirements:**

* Knowledge of the appropriate food and beverage preparations and service standards.

* Knowledge of beverages and wines.

* Knowledge of all menu items and accompaniments.

* Basic knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand inquiries from customers and communicate preparation methods. Ability to comprehend written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel.

* Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.

* Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise transport up to 50lbs.

* Knowledge of proper etiquette and manners.
