We are looking to hire an Executive Director who will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and executive oversight to all aspects of the Software Development and Engineering department projects and activities. In this role you will be responsible for developing business objectives, project standards and performance goals (within assigned areas) that are competitive with industry standards. You will provide leadership and direction for diverse and complex functions and contribute to the development of the organization's business strategy. You’ll interpret business strategy and develop organizational objectives to align with this strategy. As a leader in the FreeWheel Data Platform teams, you'll be responsible for managing a global team of ~80 professionals. This position is based in Reston, Virginia (open to virtual), and will report to VP2 of Data Platform at FreeWheelJob DescriptionResponsibilities Creates, defines, and drives organizational strategies and execution plans. Identifies, evaluates, and recommends software and solutions that enable Freewheel to work with Petabytes or 10s of 100s billions of records per day quickly and economically.Focuses on execution, establishes mechanisms to ensure smooth operation and data quality.Communicates and establishes relationships with vendors and other functional areas of the business. Provides leadership and mentorship to team members to ensure their professional and career growth.Works with architects, partner with product management teams across platform and departments to influence decisions on architecture and product directions.Responsible for operation budget, strive to do more with less while making investment recommendations when opportunity arise. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
