We are looking for a Device Certification Engineer with hands on experience with Android and iOS-based devices (Phones, Tablets, and wearables). You have a high-level understanding of wireless telecom ecosystem and are passionate and disciplined to work with new and emerging products and technologies. As a Certification Engineer you will be analyzing key requirements and developing the test cases/plan based on it. You will be maintaining and managing the test plans and executing the test cases accordingly. You will be validating the test partners/OEM test results, executing random tests for all the cellular devices in our portfolio and collecting logs utilizing logging tools (QXDM, XCAL etc.) and managing issues using JIRA. You are familiar with different mobile standards such as LTE, 5G etc. and understand various Wi-Fi technologies and various authentication schemes. You are familiar with Network,device provisioning and management. You will be working with internal and external partners at various certification milestones prior to device launch to ensure the devices are launched with the highest quality in a timely fashion. You will also be helping to ensure that post launch issues and other defects are addressed for post launch software roll outs.Job DescriptionTo be successful in this role, candidates should have experience with:Must be able to communicate effectively and convincingly with all areas of the company – technical and non-technical - as well as with external parties. Strong problem solving and analytical skills, communication (verbal and written) skills, leadership skills, and organizational/documentation skills. Must be a good team playerUnderstanding of LTE and 5G RAN and Core networks. Understanding of Wi-Fi technologies and various authentication schemes Skilled with Android and iOS devices (Phones, Tablets and Wearables) Understanding of Android and iOS platforms and capabilities Familiarity with key networking and IP communication concepts (TCP/UDP, IP, DHCP, DNS etc.) Understanding of network and device provisioning and management systems Skilled in developing & management of Test plans, methodologies and test cases by analyzing key requirements. Skills to analyze network and device logs (QXDM, IP packet captures etc.) to troubleshoot and triage issues. Familiarity with test equipment (Emulators, Shield chambers etc.) Knowledge of key logging tools (QXDM, Wireshark and others) Familiar with SQL and scripting languages Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of successful delivery of projects on time, in line with budget expectations. Excellent collaboration and coordination skills to manage a matrixed team from various internal orgs Effective working knowledge of smartphones, Android and iOS operating systems (OS), and mobile wireless telecommunications technology, including GSM/WCDMA/LTE.  Experience planning, developing, and executing feature test cases and functional test scripts for wireless mobile applications.  Experience in performing and managing quality assurance activities, including functional and regression testing, performance and stress testing.  Experience in identifying causes of defects, developing improvement processes, and communicating solutions to management or customers.  Experience with the industry practices/processes for certifying mobile products for an MNO or MVNO. Employees at all levels are expected to:Understand our Operating Principles; make them the guidelines for how you do your job.Own the customer experience - think and act in ways that put our customers first, give them seamless digital options at every touchpoint, and make them promoters of our products and services.Know your stuff - be enthusiastic learners, users and advocates of our game-changing technology, products and services, especially our digital tools and experiences.Win as a team - make big things happen by working together and being open to new ideas.Be an active part of the Net Promoter System - a way of working that brings more employee and customer feedback into the company - by joining huddles, making call backs and helping us elevate opportunities to do better for our customers.Drive results and growth.Respect and promote inclusion & diversity.Do what's right for each other, our customers, investors and our communities.Disclaimer:This information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this role.
