Role

The QA Manager will be responsible for the following job functions.

The job duties herein describe essential functions of the position. Additionally, regular attendance and punctuality are essential to the success of the position. The individual should be able to perform these essential functions with or without requested reasonable accommodations.


Essential Functions

  • Responsible for managing the Quality Management System, QMS company-wide training, processing and the disposition of non-conforming materials, inspection/test status, Quality records, document and data control, correct/preventive action and customer complaints.
  • Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations. Leading the internal auditing program, addressing internal auditing findings, leading the corrective actions.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Graduate from a four-year college or university preferred with major coursework in Business Management or an Engineering Discipline
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in the Quality Assurance environment
  • Internal Auditor Certification Preferred
  • Must possess understanding of API Q1, 19G1, and 19G2 and ISO 9001
  • Basic understanding of quality engineering and statistical quality control techniques
  • Thorough understanding of the quality audit process and related techniques. Preferably certified by a national or international quality auditor certifying authority (e.g., ASQC Certified Quality Auditor).
  • Working knowledge of metal fabricating & machining techniques (i.e. AWS, ASME, API, etc).

  • Must be detail-oriented and possess outstanding organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
