Job Summary
The Sales Manager will be a strategic and proactive leader, managing our sales team to drive revenue growth, expand our market presence, and achieve sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, with a deep understanding of the roofing industry and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Role and Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement sales strategies and initiatives to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.
- Collaborate Identify and pursue new business opportunities, markets, and customer segments to expand our customer base.
- Team Leadership and Management:
- Recruit, train and mentor a high-performing sales team.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to sales representatives to help them achieve their goals and objectives.
- Set performance expectations, monitor performance metrics, and provide feedback and coaching to drive continuous growth and improvement.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, manufacturer relationships, general contractors, and other stakeholders in the industry.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their needs and recommending appropriate roofing solutions to meet their requirements.
- Sales Process Optimization:
- Streamline and optimize sales process to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
- Implement best practices, tools, and technologies to support sales activities and maximize productivity.
- Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:
- Stay informed about market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments.
- Conduct market research, analysis, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
- Performance Reporting and Analysis:
- Track performance against targets, analyze sales data and trends, and prepare regular reports for management review.
- Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and make informed decisions to drive sales growth.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field(preferred).
- 4-6 years of progressive experience in sales leadership roles with a proven track record of success bringing clear actionable ideas to the role.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation and closing skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead a high performing sales team.
