Title: Mechanical Assembler (not electrical)
Pay: $18/hr - $20/hr - depends on experience
Location: Northridge, CA 91324
Hours: Monday through Thursday; 6:30AM – 5:15PM (45 minute lunch)
minimal overtime however schedule may change due to business needs
100% onsite
3 must haves:
High School diploma or GED and 3-5 years of mechanical assembly preferably in aerospace or a space environment
Must be able to commit to working at least a full 3 -6 months and be fully vaccinated
Must be able to pass a background, drug screen and be ITAR compliant
Position Summary:
Responsible for the application of inspecting and performing assembly work
Essential Functions:
Assembler products until they are completed to acceptance test procedures and routing operations. Functionally test parts by performing the following duties. (100%)
Knowledge and Critical Skills/Expertise:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
One year related experience included assembly, blueprint reading, or equivalent combination or education and experience.
Demonstrated skills in item two may be substituted for education and experience.
Job Related Experience
Assemble products according to routings and blueprints.
Measure parts to specified tolerances.
Deburrs, grinds, and buffs parts.
Clean, assembles, disassembles, and replaces parts as required.
Use hand tools, chemicals, adhesives, and epoxies.
Maintain and monitors test equipment as necessary to assure continued accuracy.
Perform 100% functional test of all assemblies in accordance with the acceptance Test Procedures.
Record test results on the Acceptance Test Data Final Card.
Keep assembly department and surrounding area clean and free of foreign object damage.
Keep production manager advised of work status, workload, problems, and progress as related to work assignments.
Language/Communication Skills:
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
