*Job Summary*

The Building Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily operations at a worksite to ensure the completion of projects in a safe and efficient manner. This position is responsible for training new workers and will work closely with property owners and building tenants to coordinate construction work. This position may also create and maintain construction schedules; hire, manage, and train staff; ensure construction equipment is properly maintained; and keep projects on schedule and within allotted budgets.

Duties/Responsibilities:
* Assemble and install machines then test for appropriate functioning.
* Algin equipment by using specialized tools (e.g., micrometer, plumb bobs).
* Repair broken or defective machine parts, using welding and brazing tools.
* Delegate responsibilities and tasks to crew members, contractors, and other workers according to priorities and plans.
* Dismantle and disassemble machine parts for repair or replacement.
* Inspect and test machinery to determine the extent of repairs needed.
* Ensure all required materials, equipment, and inspections occur to support the project schedule.
* Create and maintain a construction schedule with project goals in mind.
* Read and interpret schematic drawings and technical manuals.
* Transfer and maintain machines at several sites.
* Work in full compliance with approved safety regulations.
* Conduct project meetings as required.
* All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
* Strong mathematical ability.
* Attention to detail.
* Current ability, or desire to learn, to read blueprints.
* Ability to be a team player.
* Capable of adhering to strict safety guidelines with awareness of safety risks.
* Hands-on experience with construction equipment and machinery.
* Working knowledge of mechanical technical skills, preferred.

Education/Experience:
* Successful completion of vocational school or technical college or apprenticeship program; OR the equivalent on-the-job training and experience preferred.
* High School Diploma or GED
* OSHA 10 Certification preferred but not required.
* Class A CDL preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:
* Must be able to lift up to and in excess of 75 pounds.
* Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and elements.
* Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
* Must be able to wear proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and any other safety related equipment.
