We are seeking an Employee Relations Consultant and Trainer to play a crucial role in promoting a constructive workplace atmosphere at South Dakota State University. Key Responsibilities:
As an Employee Relations Consultant, you will:
- Guide management through performance evaluation processes, including disciplinary actions and grievance resolutions.
- Coach supervisors on effective performance documentation and handling challenging discussions.
- Engage with university leadership to address complex personnel issues.
- Conduct interviews with employees to address performance and morale challenges.
- Assess and assist in resolving HR-related issues, investigate complaints, and provide guidance on compliance with institutional policies and state laws.
- Review requests for remote work and facilitate accommodations as needed.
- Analyze data to identify training needs and develop professional development programs.

Minimum Qualifications:
