We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Healthcare Planning Coordinator to assist the Facilities departments in creating design and drawing deliverables for Mount Sinai South Nassau facilities and ancillary projects/locations. In this role, you will also learn the fundamentals of MSSN design and planning, and will be expected to create plans for the completion of renovations of small-scale in-house projects. You will also assist with departmental training and training/mentoring for Planning Team.

We require:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with a focus on Architecture, Engineering or related fields preferred. Experience in healthcare design preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience with facilities design, construction, renovation, development or project management experience or similar combination of education and experience
  • Auto CAD or Revit experience isrequired
  • Valid, current NYS Driver’s license
  • Ability to read blue prints, floor plans, and building plans
  • Ability to manage budget development, space utilization and program coordination
  • Strong executive presence with excellent presentation skills, strong English verbal/written communication skills
  • Detail oriented, analytical and computer literacy
  • Leadership/management skills (demonstrated)
  • Knowledge of standard business and accounting practices
  • E-Builder or similar Project Management Information System PMIS experience, preferred
  • Experience with healthcare planning and construction, preferred
  • HFDP (Healthcare Facility Design Professional) certification, preferred
  • CHFM (Certified Healthcare Facility Manager) certification, preferred
